  • Teach Collaboration, Teachers must keep studying.
    As a Teacher/Presentation 2021. 10. 3. 17:38

This mid-term presentation is to preannounce what we are trying to present at the Professional Development Seminar scheduled for physical education teachers in Korea on 4th Dec. The members of the Professional Learning Community, Good Physical Education Class, have 6 groups of 4~6 teachers having their own different research themes. And all the team have researched and endeavored to apply their theme to PE lessons.

Collaboration is what my team is researching. We focus on Collaborative Problem-solving Competency by PISA(Programme for International Student Assessment in OECD), especially the evaluation framework. As I uploaded the article in this blog, I have been using the framework as an order of my lessons to teach badminton for 10th graders, so do my team members who are teaching in other schools and students.

The presentation attempted to inspire audiences for two things.
    1. Collaboration priorities in physical education lessons.
    2. Teachers should keep studying something more to organize better lessons.

The famous entertaining TV program, You Quiz on the Block, which is a kinda talk show to introduce someone's ordinary but special life is imitated as a presentation format. This is because we had to broadcast the presentation through Zoom meeting because the social distance rule in Korea does still not allow us to gather in the same place.

I always felt this whenever I present something in front of others, which is I actually learn way more than the audience. During the preparation and organization of presentations, I had to make sure what I am doing and where should I focus on in order to make the contents clearly be delivered. This presentation also helped me for the same reason. In addition, my teammates were awesome literally. I learned a lot such as the way they treat others and the method they lead preparation. They are the reason I have been participating in this Professional Learning Community.
